No matter where you live, for the most part, you have to deal with fulfilling individual CME requirements to fulfill – some depend on the amount of credits you earn, others center more on your educational hours. It can be hard to keep track. New Mexico requires a lot of CME credits and mandates that you split some of your credits between designated subjects. And trying to keep track of all these requirements may be tedious for you.
For your convenience, we at GIBLIB have curated all your CME requirements and credits in one blog. Now, you can fulfill some of your educational needs in one place. Review your CME requirements and watch videos linked below that will fulfill them. Use our easy-to-access resource to make fulfilling your requirements less of a chore.
For both New Mexico MD and DO physicians, you’ll need to fulfill the following:
“75 hours every 3 years; all must be Category 1. All NM medical board physician licensees who hold a federal drug enforcement administration registration and license to prescribe opioids shall be required to complete and submit five (5) CME hours. All new licensees holding a federal drug enforcement administration registration and license shall complete five (5) CME hours in pain management during the first year of licensure.” – FSMB
